Teen embraces faith, identity, after facing bias

Amirah Ahmed, 17, was born after 9/11 but nevertheless feels like she has been thrust into a struggle not of her making. Ahmed says she felt empowered to lean into her faith after witnessing Islamophobia in the U.S. and then facing it at school. (Sept. 7)
